Wonderful nordic name. I like it spelled both Eric and Erik. I think of Eric the Red.

Yes, I think of that too. Thanks for responding.

I like it - it has a strong, masculine appealing sound.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you. I agree.

I like it. You don't hear it on younger people all that often, so that adds to it's appeal in my opinion.

Thank you. I agree.

:) It's my brother's name, also.I've heard it over and over all my life, so it's hard to judge. I think I neither like it, nor dislike it, but like it more than I dislike it. lol

It's my brother's name too and I adore it :-) I think it's strong, handsome, and intelligent. Then again, I'm a little biased since my brother and I are very close.Love is the lord of the house within him and rules all the concerns of his soul- Plato

I hope you won't think this is sillybut I would like to thank you for thanking everyone. Seriously! So often a guest poster pops in and asks a question, and gets X number of answers, possibly even questions in response, and then we never hear from that person again; no feedback, no answers to our questions, nothing. It's wearisome and annoying. So nice, so refreshing of you to thank us! I don't recognize your posting name or know how often you post here, but please stop in any time. :)~Lillian~

It's a great name, I prefer the Erik spelling, but that's just because of my heritage. "And I believe, that angels breathe, and hat love will live on and never leave" -Josh Groban

I've always really loved Eric-I picture a handsome, cool guy. Probably because the few Erics I've known have been just that! I think it's a great name.

I like it all right. it's not a favorite, but it's nice. It has a cool meaning.

It's ok, it's pretty common where I live (mostly spelled Erik though). I wouldn't name my child it, I like more unusual names

I've always loved it. It is classic, but not overly used. The "ehr" sound at the beginning is appealing to me -- very light and, well, airy.

I think it's an okay, name. But I like the female version a lot better, Erica. "It's orange Ellen, orange! That's why they call it the red planet!!!" -Lakota

I love the name Eric. It just seems like a strong, handsome name. It's not terribly common, but it's not too out there either. I definitely plan on using it some day.
