I don't like it on a boy because it seems very frilly, flimsy, and feminine to me. I like it on the right person, but it's dated now and I certainly wouldn't use it. Lindsay and Lindsey are my favorite spellings, although I have a soft spot for Linzie which I find to be less dated. It's a very blonde name to me, for some reason.

I hate it. It's dated and ugly.

I like Lindsay. I have a female cousin Lindsay it was also my grandfathers middle name and one of my fathers middle names. It was my great grandmother’s last name before she married.

It’s fine but kind of trendy/dated now for a girl. Might be refreshing on a boy again?
Lindsey is more intuitive to its pronunciation but I think I prefer Lindsay.

Most of the girls ones I've known have been Lindsey and all the boys have been Lindsay. I had a colleague who was Lynsey: her parents couldn't decide between Lynne and Lesley, so they did a merger. I would have preferred Lindsey. I quite like both the -ay and -ey spellings, and I find it interesting that the first very popular name of this type, where I live anyway, was Linda, and then there was Lynne and after that, Lindsey etc. I've known two Lyndall people, but it hasn't caught on in spite of Story Of An African Farm; I've only ever known one Belinda.
