I view it as more masculine, but I bet a girl could pull it off. Dylan is an awesome name; I know lots of guys named Dylan (who are my age), too. Dillon is another popular spelling, but I prefer Dylan.

One of my favourite unisex names. It has a great balance of strength and delicacy, and gives off both forest and sea vibes

Okay for a male, but definitely not on a female.

Fine for a guy, inappropriate on a girl.

As I said, commenting on Dylana below: anyone wanting to honour Bob Dylan or Dylan Thomas could use Dylan as a mn for a daughter and raise no eyebrows. But Dylan by itself is purely masculine. For the record, I don't like Dylan enough to consider using it, but my admiration for Bob D and D Thomas is unbounded.

It’s nice on a guy, and would be cool on a chick - but only a certain type could pull it off.
