Sorry, but I'm not a fan.

Not great. Also means jellyfish in some languages.

I like it but wouldn't use it. It's very similar to Ursula in that it's a cool name but if you try to picture it on a kid it just sounds off because it requires maturity and a little bit of 'spookiness' to really pull it off.

Unusable

Nope! Maybe Jerusha instead?

Medusa’s story is steeped in tragedy, and her image has been taken up by victims of sexual assault (Medusa tattoo), I consider it unusable outside the myth.

I think it could be neat, despite the heavy association with an iconic character, especially as a MN (for example, Dorothy Medusa seems fine to me). I imagine I would have liked it as a kid if it'd been my name, and the story has a lesson I'd want my kid to learn, anyway...yeah, I'd be that parent. I'd be willing to use Midas or Niobe, too, though probably not in the same sibset as Medusa. I like it a lot better than Jezebel or Lilith, and people use those.I also like it as a name for a random animal like an opossum or a llama or a tarantula or a bunny.Medea and Arethusa are the only similar seeming names I think of. I lowkey like those.

The only association is with the myth; there is a good reason for that. As a name, it isn't suitable.

Don't like it at all

I think it's a cool name because of the myth, but I would never use it IRL. It's not very attractive, and it would be too easy for people to make fun of it. Plus, I'm terrified of snakes.

I think it's an unpleasant-sounding name, even without the baggage attached to it. The trouble is that the mythological Medusa is pretty much the only association anyone has with the name, so it can't be seen as anything other than the monster.
The only other association I know of is a very funny parody movie back in the early nineties; Madonna had made a movie about one of her tours called "Truth or Dare" and a comedian named Julie Brown did a parody of it called "Medusa: Dare to Be Truthful" where Medusa was a Madonna-like superstar with a very obnoxious personality and no brains.
