Kane. I really just see Lane as a feminine name, sound-wise. Kane sounds strong and manly though.

Lane is boring and southern without the charm. There's a US fast food restaurant called Layne's.

Kane is just too much.

Lane would be better as Laine. Kane doesn't work for me at all. I'd much prefer Jane to either of them.
