Blair
I've been remembering Blair recently for some reason. This was the name of one of my sister's friends growing up. She was treated pretty badly back in 2010 when she got pregnant as a teen. Don't feel too bad though, she's a lawyer now. I think that's fitting because Blair feels like it fits the legal spectrum of names to me. Kinda preppy. I do like it. I know some people don't like the short and noise-related sound. Wdyt? Please rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.

Yeah, I don't like it because of blare. I associate 'loud and obnoxious' but not because of any people named it, although my 1st human association is Tony Blair, which isn't endearing either. IRL it's just another surname, about like Bailey, Harper, Blake, Fallon, Paige. I'd rather have to use Greer, Skyler, Bellamy, Adair, Hollis, Marley... but not Sloan, Tatum, Palmer, Parker, Courtney, Sutton, Mallory, Taylor...

Blair WaldorfI think of her before I think of anything else with the name, even The Blair Witch Project. Maybe it's just because I'm a Millennial, but Gossip Girl was huge when I was in high school & college. So the name Blair makes me think of a sophisticated Queen Bee overachiever. I genuinely can't imagine a (feminine) Blair coming from an underprivileged background.Historically, I know Blair was a masculine name, but I just... can't see Blair on a guy. Even with Blair Underwood's existence.

A friend has a nephew named Blair. His sister is Cadence, I always found that a weird sib set.Blair is 100% 80s valley girl to me. I can see the appeal, but it's not for me.

Truly despise this name, so harsh, abrupt, and downright ugly.

It gets a lot of hate but I love this name. A little preppy, a litt tomboy. It’s one I would use.

I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It does remind me of 'blare', and I prefer Claire. Good for your sister's friend, though!
