Cloudesley
What do you think of the name Cloudesley for a girl? Do you see this becoming popular? I kind of like it, especially with the nickname Cloud

I'm sorry, but I don't care for this name. However, I do think that "Cloudy" could be a cute nickname in general, though!

Cloudsley (no e) sounds like a last name for a character whimsical setting. Doesn't work as a first name though. Cloud isn't an attractive word but it can be cute as a nickname just for the visuals. Claudia 'Cloud' for example.

Do not find it in the least attractive, can't imagine it ever becoming common much less popular. Have only known ponies called Cloud.

If you're looking for a name that lends itself to the nickname Cloud, go with Claudia. Claudia has a few pronunciations. One starts off like Cloud.

Just Cloud would be infinitely better.

I'm not a fan of names that are just -ley, -sley, or -lyn added to the end of random words, sounds and names. I think Cloudesley follows a current trend and is therefore about as close as it will ever be to popular. I personally think Cloudesley just sounds like another weird sad beige name. This type of name will have gone out of fashion in a little while. As for the nickname Cloud, I don't care for it, but I don't hate it as long as it's a nickname.

I am not a fan of these type of names either but this one I find cute. I don't think I would use it personally though.

It's not intuitive, but Cloud is a nice nickname nonetheless. A good number of names mean "cloud" or are sky-related.
