I like the name Thatcher, but I don't know if I like the nickname Thatch. But maybe I just now associate the name w/ the character on Grey's Anatomy.

It's kind of silly sounding to me, in the way so many of the occupation names are.Thatcher

I like Thatcher. I think it works for a young boy and a grown man.

Makes me think of Maggie.

You know me, I love ER names on kids, but this one I only like as a surname and as a MN. I think it is SO cute as a middle name.My Future Kids -

I like it in theory, its a surname and a little different. Not quite my cup of tea, but I would enjoy it on someone else's child KWIM? I'd definitely pair it with a very traditional name like George, Edward, or Henry.

dittoI agree with the surname bit, I like the way it's not as common and also about the "someone else's child".
But pairing it with a very traditional name isn't necessary imo, a name like Thatcher Aidan would also be ok. (Even if I don't like Aidan ;-) )
