Which Irish Girl Name?
Cait Emmaline Peck
Kate Aislinn Peck
Kate Brigid Peck
Lauren Cait Peck
Lily Cait Peck-Please note that each name has either an Irish first or middle name to honor my side of the family.
-Aislinn is pr. "ash-ling" and means vision or dream
-Brigid is pr. "bridge-id" and means strength
-Cait is the Irish form of Kate and means pure
-Emmaline would honor my great grandma Emma
-Lily has significance as grandma Emma planted lily of the valley on our property, it's dh's birth flower, and I really just love it, though dh doesn't so much.
-Dh has liked Lauren best all along, but I don't love it...it's ok but I feel so-so about it.
-We like Kate, but not Katherine, etc.THANKS!

Cait/Kate and mn'sWe've totally nixed Lily. It's my favorite, but dh doesn't like it. The last time we discussed names I was unfair and said the first name would be Lily and gave him a choice of mn's, and have been feeling guilty about it lately, lol.We both LOVE the spelling "Cait". He likes Cait Aislinn, but I don't want 2 Irish names. My mom made a good point that most people will assume "Cait" is spelled K-A-T-E, so that is a better cohice.Dh decided he doesn't care about Emmaline. He said now he's kind of so-so about Lauren which surprises me, as it's been his #1 choice for the last few years. My HUGE dilemma is not honoring my mom in some way. Our middle name is Leigh, but Cait Leigh doesn't sound good. I don't care for Katherine/Catherine that much and really want to keep an Irish name in the mix. My mom's first name is Bettina and her mom is Betty, both derived from Elizabeth. I just had a cousin use that middle name...and they're the type of people who would be annoyed if I used it as a middle name too, though I do like Cait Elizabeth. Mom would like me to use Emma Leigh as a middle name but I don't really want 2 names...that way it honors 2 family members. I'd considered Emmaleigh but it looks a bit strange.Hm...Cait vs KateEmmaleigh vs Elizabeth vs AislinnI guess we're sort of down to agreeing on:Cait Elizabeth/Emma Leigh/Emmaleigh ORKate Aislinn

keep Cait, I really like the spelling. you're not doing it to be "creative", it reflects your heritage.I have to say I prefer Emmaline to Emmaleigh. because it (EmmaLeigh) seems very close to Emily. what about Milly or Milla? I think both are very cute.Kate Aislin is , cute but I like your other options better. playing around with family names and preferences, here are some options I came up with. do you like any of these:Milla Cait Leigh
Cait Milla Leigh
Betty Cait
Bettina Cait
Milly Bettina Cait
Emmaline Bette
Milla Bette Leigh

Kate Aislinn is adorable. My favorite.
