1. Kiki is cute as a nickname. 2. Kelsey Claire is ok, but it doesn't flow very well. Kelsey seems a bit too trendy to me. I love the name Claire though. 3. Yes, Kiki would work as a nickname for Kelsey Claire.

I love the NN Kiki. We might use it, on the off chance that we use the name Akeila. (It's unlikely at this point, though...)

Kiki is an adorable nn. I had a friend named Kirsten. Her little brother couldn't say it and called her Kiki. Here's my theory on nns. They don't have to bear any logical connection to a name. Their primary purpose is to show endearment. Therefore, they are the best place to let whimsy, imagination and emotion soar. The formal name is the name to make a good first impression with. The nn is the place to lavish affection. So sure -- Kelsey Claire, nn Kiki, makes perfect sense to me.

1. I love Kiki both as a nickname and a full name. I think it has spunk and a flexibility one doesn't always find in nickname-names.2. I don't like Kelsey Claire, but I think it flows. Kelsey is painfully dated to people my age (I'm nineteen), in my eyes, and Claire is one of the ultimate yuppie-princess names. (And yet, I love Clare and Clair--don't ask, lol.) Together, Kelsey Claire sounds like she'd be one of the mean girls in my third grade class. However, if you like it and don't have baggage with the names the way I do, it does flow.3. Kiki works as a nickname for all names starting with K, so yes, Kelsey Claire nn Kiki works fine.Array
