I like Justine. It reminds me of Justine Bateman from "Family Ties". I don't think it sounds masculine at all.

Justine is nice. I used to know a Justine-she was a twin and her sister's name was Jocelyn.

I love Justine and was just thinking (no pun intended) of doing a thread on the name to see what everyone else thought. It's definitely not too masculine. I picture an individualist, someone who marches to the beat of her own drummer, someone artsy, intelligent.

What image does Justine evoke?
Well ... a thin, maybe outdoorsy or kind of rough woman. Not very feminine. She has a deep, throaty voice. She is not young -- I can't picture this name on a girl or young woman.

Not masculine at all! One of my favorites-so pretty and feminine. I knew a Justine once-a gorgeous girl with auburn hair. I also picture the actress Justine Bateman who is also very beautiful. Great name!

It's definitely growing on me. I used to find it a bit too rough, but now I'm rather liking it. I think it's a very strong, cool, off-beat name.

I think of Meggie's daughter in the Thornbirds and also Theo's longtime girlfriend on the Cosby Show. I like the name, especially as a mn. It is underused without being out-there.
Edited to add that I am surprised that this name was fairly popular in the early 1990s!

Justine has been growing on my lately. I can't say I love it yet, but it's definitely not bad. I do, however, think of it as more of a "tough girl" name, but perhaps using Justina would make it a bit more feminine.

I dont see it as masculine...it is the feminine form of Justin, isnt it? Anyway, I knew a very preppy girl in junior high with this name, she was dating my neighbor. I didnt think much of her name, but when she started dating another guy in school as well...the name went down even more. I cant get her picture out of my head.~~Kris~~

me likey
It kinda reminds me of "Justice" and "Christine" put together. My boyfriend's name is Justin, and this name still doesn't seem too masculine to me. Very lovely.
