Zara if you're English and care about ethnicities matching in names, Zahrah if you're Arabic (or English and just like/don't care if your kid bears an Arabic name). Also, I tend to pr. Zara ZER-a (Sara with a Z), while Zahrah is ZAH-ra or ZAH-rah to me.I personally wouldn't go with the spelling Zahra, as I think it looks very unbalanced and incomplete.

I like them both, but prefer Zahra by a small margin.

Zara
I tend to like simpler spellings, so I like Zara much better.

ZaraIf you're English speaking, which I guess you are, Zara just fits better. Zahra looks Arabic so it might look out of place / unnecessary with your surname...assuming you have an English or otherwise clearly-not-Arabic surname :-)

I sort of like that the spelling Zahra creates the "Awe" sound in the name. Zara could end up being pronounced like "Sara"

I prefer Zahrah. But out of your two, Zara.
