Ridge
Zephyr (My favourite)

Sand (My 2nd Favourite)
Reed
Slate
Heath
Moor
Storm
Grove
Ridge
Basil
Drake
Hawk
Elm
Peregrin (PIPPIN!!)
Pike
Rush (Jamie's 2nd favourite)
FalconI think that's it... All suggestions are welcome. Middle for a boy will be James after the father.

Sparrow reminds me of the song "Letterbox" by They Might Be Giants.
I'll never know what you'll find when you open up your letter box tomorrow
'Cause a little bird never tells me anything I want to know, she's my best friend, she's a sparrow
And I'll never never know what you never never never want to know when you know what you are, O. If I had a pair of eyes on the back of my head for each time
You forgot to take out all the things you forgot to talk about when you took a bite out of my spine,
I would have a lot of eyes on me by this time wouldn't I? Wouldn't that just be fine. Too late or soon to make noise about love and there's no time for sorrow
Run around in the rain with a hole in the brain till tomorrow I'll never know what you'll find when you open up your letter box tomorrow
'Cause a little bird never tells me anything I want to know, she's my best friend, she's a sparrow
And I'll never never know what you never never never want to know when you know what you are, O.
Ahem. Aside from that, I really like the name. From your boys list I like
Phoenix
Drake
Zephyr
Reed
Peregrin
Rush.Good luck picking!

I really dislike Sparrow (the sound & meaning aren't good to me)... For the boys, I like
Phoenix
Ash as a nn for Asher
Ridge
Reed
Peregrin (PIPPIN!!)
Falcon as a nn for Falk

Zephyr is a nice pick. I think it is strong and exotic at the same time. Haze has a nice sound to it but I wouldn't use it because it sounds like a person who is always a bit befuddled, i.e. "walking aroudn in a haze." The other reason I wouldn't use it is because of the connection to college fraternity and sport group initiation abuse called "hazing."
Sand is a pretty good pick but beware of the fact that it will probley become "Sandy" and that name is most commonly used for women here in the U.S. (not sure where you live).
Rush, again has a great sound but unless you really like Rush Limbaugh you may want to reconsider using his name for your child. I wouldn't do it.

I like Sparrow Azalea. I can't think of any nicknames.I like the idea of James as a middle name for a boy. Here's my 5 favorites from your list:1. Heath Jamison
2. Phoenix James
3. Zephyr James
4. Haze Jamison
5. Reed Jamison* You should avoid naming your child Rush. Watch the movie... and look up the meanings in the dictionary. It's not a positive thing.

I adore Sparrow......but all of the MN's you suggested aren't flowing right with it. Sparrow Elise? Sparrow Anne? Sparrow Jane (I think this works well as honoring James.) I think a name as out-there as Sparrow needs a simple, classic middle name to even things out. But I LOVE the name Sparrow- if my boyfriend wasn't a straight-laced jerk ;) my daughter would be Meadow, Winter, or Sparrow instead of Lucy. For boys, my personal standouts are Ash, Haze, and Peregrin- especially Ash. I think potheads might find too much amusement in Haze (please tell me that's NOT why you're using it!) and Peregrin really does bring to mind my beloved Pippin, which is both a blessing and a curse. Ash is simple, but it doesn't go well with James, either- Ash Jamison, perhaps? I think that, with James, the fn has to be polysyllablic, which is why I like Peregrin. Falcon is also nice with James... hmm, I like it. Zephyr James is also nice, although, for a boy, I prefer the less Madonna-tainted Sephyr (SEH-fire or SEH-fear.) Zef is an unusual nickname, also.Hope I helped somehow ;) When are you due?

Im not due until the beginning of May (The 7th), so I have time.
I'm just one of those people who has to have the perfect name for EVERYTHING! It took me 3 days to name my fish... Why do you say Zephyr is Madonna-tainted? I do like Sephyr!

Zephyr in the sky at night, I wonder...(m)It's a good song of hers, but I'm not a particular fan, and it would just kill it for me :/ Glad you like Sephyr.
