hi! Dana is a very common arabic name, and it means pearl in arabic. except it's pronounced Dan(like man) -uh. it's used for females only.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know there was an Arabic name Dana. I like that pronunciation for a female name.
Still and all, I asked for opinions on a different name.
Perhaps you wouldn't mind answering my questions about the Arabic name Dana, too - how strange would it be to find the name on a woman who was not of Arabic descent?

i don't think it would be weird at all to find the name Dana on a non-Arab woman, there are other Arabic names used on non-arabs as well, like Ayesha and Farah etc...
