Hi! My name is Elena Berger. A quarter of a century (wow! has it really been that long?) I married my best friend, Andrew John Berger aka Drew. Drew began serving our country the minute he stepped out of high school, at 19. We got married about a year later. Since then we've moved at least fifteen times and had 11 children. Currently we reside in Berlin, Germany.
Our oldest child, a daughter, was born three years into the marriage, in Moscow, Russia. Now 22, Talia Sofia is very caring. Our oldest girl loves history and watching TV. With dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes, she is very much a beauty. Talia has just finished pre-med, here, and is starting med school, at Columbia, in the fall. Her husband, Leopold Rosenthal, is a very nice man. His father is a diplomat.
After Talia, we had identical twin boys. At the time we were stationed in Amsterdam. Dan and Ben both have golden blonde hair and light brown eyes, but at the age of 20, they are very different.
Daniel Thomas, was born first. At school, his favorite subject was gym, even though he, like all his siblings, excelled at them all. After school, he would always bring over a kid from his class and help them study, or help them with their homework. Dan can be very emotional, but he is doing well in Law school, at Hardvard. Dan has an on again off again girlfriend, Ella Susan Stein.
Benjamin Matthew loves to read and loves going to the gym to work out, after a hard day. Ben is planning to be a vet, and will be attending vet school locally, after he spends a year in the military. Ben is shy.
After Dan and Ben, we were shocked to find out that we were expecting another set of twins! Talia was thrilled that our identical babies were girls, and that she could tell them apart because they were as different as could be.
Ilana Rivka was the first twin born. At 18, she adores languages, especially Hebrew, because she and her sister were born in Israel. Like Dan, she loves tutoring people, but like Ben, she is very shy. Now that she is going to college, she plans to attend locally, so she can be close to her family.
Shaina Miriam was the second twin born. Like her sister, she has red hair and goregeous grey eyes. Unlike her sister, she is very outgoing and loves to hike. Shaina has decided to return to her birth country, the country we are from, and serve in the military. When she is done, she wants to become a vet.
After the second set of twins, we thought we were done, but then Nathan Arieh came along. He, too, was born in the country of Israel. At the age of 15, he has medium brown hair and green eyes. Nate loves sports, being loud, and reading. He plans on being a doctor when he grows up.
Much to our suprise, after Nate, we had twin boys Eitan Ajzyk and Malachi Tzvi. The duo was born 13 years ago, in Brussels.
Like Ilana, Eitan wants to be a teacher and loves learning new languages. Unlike her, he is very creative and he loves shopping for new art supplies.
Malachi was born just moments after his brother. As they are identical, they share the same dark brown hair and green eyes. Malachi loves science and shopping. Even though he is a tad wild, he really wants to be a teacher.
After the boys we were stunned to find out that another set of identical twins was on the way. Now 10, the girls have medium brown hair and green eyes. Like all the other sets of twins before them, they love being together. The girls were born in Japan.
Naomi Elisabeth is the older twin. She loves science and cooking. When she grows up, she dreams of singing along side her sister. Shopping is a favorite of this adventerous girl.
Maayan Louise is the last twin, to have been born to our family. Maya loves excersizing, gym and sports is what she loves. As a wild child, she really wants to be a singer.
As the last child in a large family, the kids were definately shocked when we told them that we were expecting again. We had been, when we found out. Our little brown haired, hazel eyed girl, had been born in Germany. At the age of 5, she's already reading chapter books and playing soccer with the best of them (her siblings ;)). Adina Shir is adventerous. Adi wants to be a doctor.
