[Facts] "Virgen de los Hitos"
in reply to a message by Antonio
The rare Spanish name of "Hitos" is derived from "Virgen de los Hitos" ("Virgin of the Milestones"), who is the patron saint of the Anoia region in Catalonia which, as you probably already know, is in the northeastern region of Spain.
For a more precise history of the Virgin, I suggest you try contacting the local churches in the area -- or perhaps even the main church in Barcelona. They may have information for you regarding the saint's festival day.
Then, if you would be so kind, come back here and post the info for all of us. :)
