It's almost certainly a Spanish version of the Slavic name Stanislaw.
From the present database:
STANISLAW m Polish
"camp glory" or "government glory" from Slavic stan meaning "government" or "camp" combined with slaw "glory". It can also be used as a Polish form of STANLEY. Two kings of Poland have borne this name.
