Inez Montoya was born in Puerto Rico and is nine years old. She was disowned by her parents two years ago when they went bankrupt. Inez is a lively child who enjoys any sports and playing with friends. She likes to sing and has taken voice lessons for three years now.
Anando (last name unknown) was born in India and is eight years old. He is a gifted artist. He is often depressed about his parents' recent deaths and finds solace in painting. He is not shy, yet not very sociable. He prefers having a few very close friends to having a big group.

Inez has been fitting in remarkably well. When Inez came home, Mary was so happy to finally have another girl around the house. Freddie and George were stand-off-ish, but Theo and Simon immediately took to her. One day, George was kicking the soccer ball around with his friends and Inez wanted to join. They let her, but George made his friends promise to go easy on her. Imagine everyone's surprise when Inez darted between George's 12- and 13-year-old friends and stole the ball, then managed to kick it into the goal past her brother! She earned his eternal respect that day.
Anando is still very shy. We thought that, with two brothers the same age, he'd be fitting in much better than he is. But, Anando seems to like hanging around Freddie more than Theo or Simon. Often, Anando and Freddie can be seen with their heads together over one of Freddie's home-made comic books. Because Anando likes to paint, Freddie is letting him paint the pictures Freddie draws. I just hope that Anando soon grows as close to everyone else as he is with Freddie.
