When Alec first brought Julia home, our first thought was that we were surprised she could put up with him. She was quiet, polite, thoughtful, and an honor-roll student, and Alec was... Let's just say none of the above. Then we found out Alec had gotten her pregnant. That was certainly a shock, but we decided to just accept it. The number of pregnant high school students in our area has been shocking in the past few years, and with Alec, we really shouldn't have been surprised.
