I love Greek names and I love names with more vowels than consonants. So I'm predisposed to love this on two counts. And I do. This has the additional benefit of the nn Edie. I'll have to remember that the next time someone says they like Edie but not Edith. The only down side for me is the similarity to one of my top ten names, Aoife. It's hard for me not to look at Aoide and pronounce it "EE-dee." But life is full of travails and this is one effort well worth making. I've added Aoide to my long list thanks to this thread. :-)
