Thank you for these four children. It's been a year since we've welcomed them to our home.
We didn't change any of the kid's names, but we gave them each a second middle name, like our biological kids.
Emma Jane Noelani and Edward are the best of friends. They're both three now and have just started preschool. Emma is doing very well in school, she's very intelligent.
Luka Alexei Evander is eight now and is also doing well in school. He's in the ELL program to help his English. He and Helena are on and off friends-- sometimes they play nicely, and sometimes they fight. But that's just how siblings are.
Oliver James Malachi is seeing a psychologist now, and he's been seeming a bit happier. He's still quiet and shy, but it's not a bad thing. He spends a lot of time in his room, writing. We're sure he'll be publishing a novel or a screenplay or something someday.
Colette Isabel Miriam is now 17, and has a 10 month old daughter named Rosalie Avril Maude [we suggested Maude, but Colette picked the other names on her own]. She's a senior in high school, and is also in the ELL program. She's learning English very quickly. She's planning on going to an art school and becoming a fashion designer, and we often find her teaching Ashley how to dance, which is hilarious.
Rosalie is a very lively baby, already crawling and following everyone around. She knows quite a few words [both in English and in French; Colette's been talking to her in French a lot].
