This is a very sad verse from "Lock Lomond" that talks about Spring (a bit).........
For the Wee Birdies Sing
And the wild flowers spring!
And in Sunshine the Waters are Sleepin'!
But the broken Heart it kens
Nae second SPRING again!
For the way-ful may cease fray their greeting'!

Oh .... Ye'll tak' the high road,
And I'll tak' the low-road,
And I'll be in Scotlan' a-for ye!
For me and my true love will never want again,
On the bonny, bonny banks of Lock Lomand!
So .... in someways it proves my point. There is one true spring of one's life ....... but you can never re-create it again ...... and, for me, it has become a horrible thing.
