The kingdom recently celebrated the marriage of their future king and queen, Prince Cassius and Princess Apollonia. For now, Maximilian and Kalliope still hold the throne, but soon it will be up to these two to rule. The kingdom is pleased with Apollonia and have readily accepted her—and so has Cassius.
Also, over in the kingdom of Lyricene, Augusta and Maxence have had another child, this time a daughter. She is named for Augusta’s late mother Katerina, though the child goes by Rosie, from her second name.
The king has given Yseult and Timaeus the honorary titles of Archduke and Archduchess as a wedding gift, and has given the couple his blessing. The couple has recently given birth to their first child, a son named Chiaroscuro after the art term referring to contrast between light and dark. He is only a few months younger than his cousin, Rosie.
However, in the midst of all this joy lies sadness. Last year they nearly lost Iphigenia and felt blessed to have all their children alive. But this year, Aloysius died in a hunting accident at the age of sixteen. He will be greatly missed, and the kingdom remains in mourning.
