In the past four years, several members of the McCarthy family have had children. Maggie and Ryan figured they were finished having children, until Emma came along. Maggie met her while volunteering at a youth shelter in the area, and fell in love with the girl. Emma had a little boy two months after Maggie and Ryan adopted her, named Ewan. Ted and Zoey are doing well. Their two children are growing up quickly. Vera and John have not had more children, though Vera thinks that maybe they should adopt like several others in the family have done. Matthew and Sarah are content with their daughter, Samantha, who is growing up into a headstrong little girl. Micah and Alice hadn't thought to have more children, but they didn't complain when their daughter Alexis was born two years ago. Pattie and Mark stunned the entire family by announcing that they were going to have a baby--after twelve years of marriage. Their son, Jim, is quite a little spoiled baby with two much older brothers to dote on him. Hazel and Aidan have three young children now--two sons and a daughter while Jacob and Maggie welcomed their first little girl last year.
