It may have some other etymology too, but it was used as a Romany name in the UK, with variants Tranetta and Tranette, at round about that period. Other similar variants were Tryanty and Tranity, so I think it's probably a corruption of Trinity.◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄
