I've read through the long conversation below and I heartily approve of your reasons for using it.
Also, it's NOT that terrible. But I am more open to it because I like Hilda, and European names with gritty, heavy sounds.
Seeing the middle name Hulda, I would assume that there was some foreign ancestry behind it. And there is!
Katarina's great, too. I like the combo.
