Diane appeals to me, mainly because I associate the name with the moon, and also because I enjoy the long "i" sound. I definitely do see the name as elegant. I also happen to have a positive personal association...a very good-hearted, strong-minded, productive, "100 irons in the fire", charitable individual who, in physical appearance, often reminds me of actress, Jane Fonda. Personally, I prefer Diana over Diane as a first name, but Diane feels classic to me, not dated. Of your combinations, I best like...Diane Beatrice
