My
Sophia "so-FIE-uh" emigrated from England to
America. There is currently a young British actress,
Sophia Myles, who pronounces her name the same way. I've also heard this pronunciation in a British period film. I assume it's the old British way of saying the name, but I've loved the sound of it since I was a little girl.
Kimberly is the name of a late loved one very close to me. :)
