[Facts] Re: Llinor
'll' is a single letter (voiceless lateral fricative) that has no pronunciation equivalent in English. It's a kind of hissing sound. You can hear it here: http://www.forvo.com/word/llinos/#cy
- just imagine 'or' with a slightly rolled r on the end instead of the s.'Llinor' in Welsh actually means ulcer! But I'd guess that as a name it's probably a nickname/version of Llinos or Elinor. It's very unusual and quite modern; I can't find one before 1952.
