Mariah Carey, of course. I went through a phase as a teenager where I liked Mariah. Then I realized how lovely Maria is. Also, the h isn't as visually appealing.
ETA that my first memory of Mariah is the song, "They Call The Wind Mariah / Maria." I'm not sure where the song came from but I recall it being very pretty.
