There is definitely a revival. It's more prevalent in North Wales (several of my cousins have very Welsh-named children), but names like
Seren and
Ffion were top 20 last year across the country. Welsh has only been compulsory in schools since 1999, but fully Welsh-language schools have been around since the 1900s (possibly earlier?) and around 20% of kids attend them.
Mali Grug would be
Molly Heather in English. She's probably got a nice Welsh tapestry blanket.:)
