Rigel is pronounced ry-GEL in English as well. I find it really unattractive, and it's not in the least bit feminine. I can't believe someone who likes frilly names like Elina and Aurora would name their daughter Rigel. Ick.
Rigel makes me think of Star Trek and the Simpsons before the actual real life star.
