Once encountered a student at the school were I work named Nefertari, she seemed nice. Honestly, it didn't look or sound at all bizarre in real life. It was kind of cool, actually. I feel like I should add that she was African-American; the only Nefertari and Cleopatra that I've ever met were both African-American.
No Nefertitis, though. And I think that name isn't being used for the same reason people in this country laugh at Lake Titicaca.
