[Opinions] Re: Celeb BA
For Hollywood, Dylan Gabriel isn't bad at all. It has a nice flow although Dylan doesn't exactly wow me. Sebella is just sbad. I don't understand the need to create something so unusual or unheard of that no one will know how to spell. Why not Isabella, nn Sebi?"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

According to the site Sabella is a legit variant of Isabella

Indeed it is, however, it's rather uncommon and while there may be a visual connection to Isabella, this child's name is spelled Sebella and I don't think the connection would be as strong. To top that, she'll be called Sebi which very few will associate with Isabella.

My point was that it’s not made up or necessarily “created.” I think Sebella is pretty dang close in sound to Isabella. No one would likely guess what “Sebi” is short for whether it was Sebella or Isabella, so I guess I don’t see what it matters which version of the name was used. They clearly didn’t want to name her Isabella, so why force it for a nickname that already unusual?I may be biased because I LOVE the nn Sibby but don’t like Sibyl enough to use, but would consider Cybele. Bottom line I wouldn’t use a name I didn’t like just because it’s the most logical choice
