Not a fan.
I find it clunky and dated. As a child I also wanted to pronounce it EEV-lyn and it confused me immensely to discover the correct pronunciation was "EV-lyn" I just didn't understand and that tainted the name for me.
I much prefer
Eve which I love as a full name in it's own right. If I did feel that
Eve needed a longer form, I would choose
Genevieve over
Evelyn.
