It's too unfamiliar, I just think of "my folder."

And I also think of the word "falter." And "father" is not far off, either.
The sounds just seem old-fashioned, I guess, in a way that's nms. I think that's true of Matilda too. But Matilda seems tender, Mafalda seems more worldly. I don't really prefer either one except that Matilda is more familiar so the word-associations aren't as important, for me.
