-Betty met Sylvester in high school and once they graduated, they got married immediately and started to save money (by working odd jobs) to open up a bakery, a long time dream for both of them. They were finally able to open the bakery four years ago, and since it's taken off, have started their family, with one daughter already and another on the way.
-Bea grew up watching Chaz take pictures and that inspired her to pursue a career in journalism. The family was very pleased and surprised when she got accepted to Northwestern University. She met Isaac there, and after graduating they got engaged, although it may be a long engagement, as both of them plan on going to grad school and they won't be able to afford a wedding.
-Miles is currently working as a concierge at a hotel, but his real dream is to be a veterinarian. He's trying to pay off some debts before he goes to veterinary school. He works long, hard hours, but when not at the hotel, he loves playing soccer with his buddies.
-Olivia just graduated from NC State with a degree in education. She hated to leave Germany and her parents for college, but she was able to find herself in North Carolina and realized her love of teaching. Her fiancee, Nina, was a teacher at one of the schools she student taught at and they fell in love. They both have a love for teaching, dogs, and theater. Everyone thinks them a perfect match for each other. The plan for them is to get married soon.
-Teddy went to a two year community college and is now working as a retail cashier while he waits to see if he has been accepted at any of the carpentering jobs he applied to. He isn't living with his parents, but he lives near them and visits often.
