[Opinions] Re: WDYTO Venus?

I think it's interesting. It reminds me more of venal than penis, but I can ignore that.
I can't think of any other feminine names with *us endings, so it's unique in that way...stereotyped femininity but almost masculine looking language-wise.
I barely think of the planet, but that's a cool connection. My main associations are Venus Williams, art, and the goddess.
I prefer the sound of Aphrodite but maybe not the connotations based on the goddess...maybe I haven't read enough, but she strikes me as more fickle and aggressive or less benevolent: more airy, less earthy. Venus was significant and connected to gardens/prosperity/fertility, not just love/lust/beauty; she is associated with change, but it seems like mostly positive change? Good luck, mercy, beginnings, morning, spring, wit, wine, flow, ease, creativity. She also supposedly protected against vice...in the sense that sexuality/pleasure was supposed to be understood as beautiful and revered and without conflict, I guess. And I think she was a patroness of prostitutes, so I wouldn't use it personally unless I was okay with that connection.
Compared to some other goddess names, I'd rather be Venus than Athena or Persephone, but I don't think I like it more than Minerva, Freya, Ourania, Iris, Demeter. It's about on the level of Gaia (distinctive and kind of pleasant but in-your-face divine in a borderline hokey way, at least to me).
