Were they from the UK or immigrants from Poland? Camilla is prnounced differently though.

How are they different? I speak Polish and English and have a basic grasp on IPA and I don't really see any differences that wouldn't just happen naturally (both ways) when switching between languages, especially considering that most Polish speakers can't reliably pronounce the schwa and most English speakers can't reliably palatalise. Like, I get that ideally, in their respective language contexts they'd sound different but in the UK I'd expect them to sound the same, so I'm curious about what differences you'd expect to hear that would prevent Kamila from being confused with Camilla in English.
Kamila is Ka-MEE-la. I heard it.
