Clementine I know, in her early 30s, is actually a Clementene because that is the pronunciation her parents wanted. She's always called Clemmie, so it hardly matters, except that she doesn't get serenaded with'Oh my darling, oh my darling ...' five times a day. Which is a big deal.
As a name, it doesn't appeal. I'm very fond of
Clemency and would consider using it.
