[Opinions] Re: What do you think of Ausma?
Absolutely, autism and other related forms are not anything to be considered bad or stigmatised, I tried to be aware in my language and apologise if it didn't come across like that and I stumbled my words. I'm ADHD/neurodivergent myself and I resent the idea of something that fundamentally shapes the way I am being seen as a "condition"/"disorder" or a diagnosis, it's basically treating a big part of myself/my personality as something to be diagnosed or 'cured', it's me, it's how I am. That's also why I tried to be positive about neurodiversity awareness, but probably fumbled it as well...
And while we're here, yes, do celebrate your differences. I wish more people understand despite our struggles and challenges, neurodivergent people have so many different strengths, we have bad days but also good days, and either way neurodivergent is not a bad thing at all. I wouldn't do that cringey thing of calling my neurodivergence my 'super power' because even if I find it fun how I can think so differently to some of my friends/family/coworkers, my bad moments are brutal... but there are also things I swear I find easier -because- I have ADHD. Funnily enough one of my best work friends has asperger's and when you put us together I swear our respective brain differences balance each other and we become the dream team, yes, the way we both think is 'different' and yet when we work together we totally shock people - I'm good at problem-solving, weird ideas and new perspectives, he's good at logistics and remembering stuff. I'm more adaptable than him and he smooths out my chaos. Together we can get stuff done.Namewise, tbh, you like what you like and if you like Aurora and Ausma I'm not here to tell you not to... they're just not my cup of tea. The imagery you create is pretty cool, I guess my 'dawn' imagery is a lot blander than yours. I've always been more of an evening person anyway. Obscure names are always neat, keep on suggesting them... they're more interesting than the same old top 1000 names, just sometimes the sound or meaning won't work for all of us.
