[Opinions] Re: Make me love or hate these: day 2
in reply to a message by Ani
You asked for it.Edgar: old man name. Also, Edgar Allen Poe had issues.
Johanna: plain and dull. Why not Josephine or Anna?
Konstantinos: The second T is said like a D. That's confusing and inconsistent. Constantin is better.
Kostas: Not a good nickname for Konstantinos and not that attractive altogether.
Veronica: stuck up and not that pretty.
Ronnie: kind of silly and unsubstantial. Sounds more like a boy NN anyway.
Priscilla: Why is it spelled that way?
Clare: pretty. Not as beloved as Clair or Claire I think, but still deserving.https://youtube.com/@MarioDrama632 or

Josephine's a little too prairie feeling for me, but I still do like it, just not enough for my main list. Anna is on my main list (and a pretty new addition at that). How do you feel about Josie?Constantine is also on my main list. I like the nickname Connie too. Constance "Connie" is also on my main list.
Josie is ok, goes along with Elsie, Sadie, Bonnie etc which are used in full especially UK

I think Josie is cute but it sounds a bit too youthful for me to like it as a full name. I also like Josey, the NN for males. :)
I've begun liking Constant and Constance more than I did years prior. They are old fashioned but sound fresh in comparison to other vintage names that have never left the charts.
Priscilla is a diminutive form of the Latin name Prisca (or Priscus for males), and would have been pronounced Pris-ka, Pris-kus or of course
Pris-ki-la. (Latin didn't have the letter k) In English, we've kept the spelling but dropped the k sound.
