The Cheaper by the Dozen sibling sets are both predominantly common names of the time with a couple of wild cars thrown in,
Ernestine and
Nigel.
Lorraine sounds like it would be more at home in the era of the original rather than the remake.
The
Barbie Twelve Dancing Princesses look like a collection of modern names. I would not be surprised to hear that the princesses were named after the daughters of the producers and Mattel big wigs.
Interestingly, some of the names from
Madeleine (1939) sound like quintessential US 80s baby names (
Danielle,
Nicole,
Monique, and to a lesser extent
Chloe). I really like
Yvette, and it was very much on trend in 1930s
France.
Nona (the name of one of the three Fates) is unusual.
