2. To me, it's completely unusable. As pretty as it is and as awesome a namesake Queen Cleopatra would be, I think it would be extremely tacky and prentious to call your child Cleopatra. It's just one of those "huge" names that I can't imagine on anyone else than on the Egyptian queen. I could tolerate it as a MN, but definitely not as a FN.

It does sound awfully pretentious and I can't really imagine it on anyone besides the Egyptian Queen.

I don't think it would be tacky, however I do agree that it might be somewhat pretentious, and that it is definitely a 'huge' name.
Yes, I think I would only use it as a middle name, with a more simple first name.
