J.R.R. Tolkien is an author. He wrote the Lord of the Rings trilogy, among other things.

Oh ok then, thanks. That explains why i haven't heard of him, i haven't seen Lord of the Rings lol, have no desire to.

Oh, I agree. His books are much better than the movies made by Peter Jackson.

Much better read, true. But the movies weren't horrible for one man's interpretation.

The movies by far do not beat the books, but both are marvelous on different levels.
