I like this surname for boys only, but I think surnames as first names are really cool and, if used wisely, aren't uber trendy ...
as opposed to the "Mikenzi hating crew":) who are obessed w/ those few who overuse & radify surnames!!! Like all names, I love some & hate others :)!!!!!!
