Help[Facts] Celtic Snake
I'm looking for an old Irish or Celtic masculine name for a snake, a python in particular. Any idea about how to look for it? This site had three references to snake and none was what I was looking for.

No pythons native to the British Isles, but they do have adders (not abundant, but not to be messed with). Also trewser snakes, but that's a different story...
The Irish for the adder type of snake is "nathair", from the Old Irish "nathir". Don't know if it's ever been used as a personal name, but if you insist, I'd opt for the older version (less likely to be pronounced "gnat-hair").

I personally would have to know where the "fada" is if there is one in the word because it changes how a vowel is pronounced. If I remember correctly, the "h" slenderizes the "t", either cancelling or making the combination pronunciation -h- instead of -th- (best check either of my sources, just in case I'm mistaken).
