Liberty is a little too hippy-ish for me, but it's not awful. Libby is cute but I prefer it as a nn for Elizabeth.
I actually thought about naming my cat Liberty (as a reference to a fandom I'm involved with, sort of) and calling her Libby, but I wouldn't name my child that. :b
