Hmm, you're perhaps right :-) I just envision a new kid named Humbert coming into my (relatively nice, suburban) high school, and I just know his name would've had us in stitches. Once they knew him as a person, yes, people would've got over it. But better to give the kid an easy ride from the get-go by avoiding such names, imo.
