what do you mean by modernized? If you mean misspelled to sound unique (corrupting Emily to Emmaleigh, Catherine to Kythryn, etc.) then I don't know... but various other spellings of Irene I may...

In Spanish, Irene is spelled the same but pronounced ee-REH-neh.
